Why a live video chat app does not need a download
Modern browsers can open your camera and microphone, and stream live video, all by themselves. That is what an app does too. It just wraps it in an icon.
So we keep it in the browser. You get the same match screen, the same Start button and the same controls, and you do not need to find space on your phone or trust a stranger's installer.
It works in current versions of the usual mobile and desktop browsers. If one misbehaves, try another before you try anything drastic.

- Hold the phone at eye level. Looking up your nose is nobody's best angle.
- Face a light source. A window or a lamp in front of you beats the overhead light every time.
- Use earbuds. They stop echo, and the other person hears you more clearly.
- Turn on Do Not Disturb. A notification banner halfway through a hello is distracting for both of you.
- Plug in if you can. Live video drains a battery faster than you expect.
If something does not work
Nine times out of ten the cause is a permission or a connection. Check that the browser is allowed to use your camera and microphone for this site, that no other app is holding the camera, and that you are not in a private window that blocks access.
